It was really heartwarming to see all the daffodils around lab the other day. Not only are the flowers very welcome signs of natural beauty in a setting where nature has been reduced to equations and flow-charts, but they are also a sign of the generosity and thoughtful minds that enter and leave this small room.

When I started seeing flyers for Daffodil Days posted up, I thought that they exuded a certain gentle sense of sincerity and caring. I mean, there are plenty of fundraisers, but this one had lots of volunteer “headquarters” – even in BE and in the music office (although I ended up going to the UROP office location ..) that really made it seem like everyone was getting involved.

So, daffodils make me happy, even though I don’t like the color yellow. I’m afraid I have nothing to show for my contribution, because I bought the teddy bear instead and had it sent to a hospital for someone to have – goodness knows I have enough stuffed animals already! Heehee =). This post is unnecessarily fluffy, isn’t it ( > – <). Well, what can I say ………. I’m just like this! ^_^. I was really overjoyed upon getting a paycheck (er, paychecks, I guess) because it meant I could finally support what I wanted without feeling like, “Ah, this isn’t really my money, though.” ^_^;;; anyone else have that kind of feeling?

Haha, yay ゚ヽ( ´∀`)ノ゚~。~。~。 Oh yeah, this spring break, I also want to learn all of Hikki’s facemarks! Yes yes, I don’t take credit for making these – I’m just doing variants here~
